so, this is it some sort of anyway... aug 2010 rendon went home to ask my parents for my hand in the "M" word. he was only able to talk to mom. apparently, it wasn't meant to be for him to have that chat with my dad (in hindsight, it's good that he didn't. dad is more agreeable when in shock. hihi!).
mom told him to think things through again and come back nov if he's serious about the whole thing. so, mom was on tenterhooks the whole time (aug-nov) bec she didn't want to utter a word to dad lest he might not become so agreeable come nov.
so! nov came... nov 16 we went home, mom advised me to not be there when rendon pops the question to dad. "conveniently", i had a dentist's appointment the next day... the day when rendon would pop the big Q!!! and so while waiting for them to finish their talk, bab & i had to tambay at the parking lot haha!
as told by mom, rendon & dad were sitting face to face. rendon's hands clasped together, back straight, face pale/green (mom can't decide which. he just looks like he's about to die or throw up haha!) so, dad was going on & on about understanding each other, being patient, accepting each other and all that then told rendon to think things over (AGAIN!) and come back with his parents if he's serious.
apparently, rendon told dad "mahal na mahal ko talaga si debbie" which caused my mom to shed a few tears (but mom didn't tell me the tear shedding part. nahiya siguro madrama kasi haha!)
so anyway, rendon heard wrong. he thought my dad told him to come back next time & that dad will call him. (ano yan job interview!?!)
so, nov 20, we went to his family's party & went to the rooftop of their condo afterwards. grabe ang init init tapos dadalin niya ako dun with NO sunblock!!!! then he was coughing like he was going to puke. yun pala!!! he pulled a ring from his pocket and said "alam mo naman na. suotin mo nalang."
